Osteopathy
What is Osteopathy?
Osteopaths focus on the body's skeleton, nervous system and joint function; when these areas are not working correctly pain can be the result.
Osteopaths use a highly developed sense of touch (palpation)to identify problem areas of the body.Gentle stretching and mobilising techniques are used, as well as joint manipulation, to create the perfect conditions to help a healing process. Advice can also be given on self-help treatments and suitable exercises.
Conditions treated
- backaches and pains
- spinal and joint stiffness
- sciatica
- joint problems/frozen shoulder
- lumbago/rheumatism
- arthritis
- inability to relax

Nutrition and Dietetic therapy, now at the practice
The food we eat can have a significant effect on every aspect of our lives. Making adjustments to your nutrition and lifestyle can make a big difference to the way you feel and your health.
If you suffer with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, evidence is showing the relatively new FODMAP diet can significantly improve symptoms in 75% of people. Studies show that reducing weight by 5-10% can cut risks of heart disease, diabetes and stroke and reduce blood pressure and cholesterol.
So whether you want to improve your energy, take control of your weight, improve your performance in sport or have a specific health concern, a consultation with a registered dietitian could benefit you.
Each consultation is tailed to your specific needs, to suite your lifestyle and to help you make achievable changes.
Dietary analysis is also available where your diet is nutritionally analysed, this is useful to check for vitamin or mineral deficiency, carbohydrates and protein intake for sport or for assessing overall energy intake or weight gain or loss.
So whether it's for a specific reason, or just to help stay fit and healthy, a dietitian can be beneficial to everyone.
